Whitby conjures both a romance and a wildness that few other towns can match, and this home puts you right in the thick of things. The location really is the key to this place. The ruined abbey, part of the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula, sits perched on the hilltop above, while a stroll through the cobbled streets takes you harbourside and to the beach (ten minutes away). Making this home the perfect little love nest to cosy up in after a day out amidst the sea air. Neutral tones of creams and blues create a humble space that doesn't compromise on home comforts. We particularly love the log burner fire, which offers a warming ambience to snuggle down in with a cup of tea in hand. When you can bring yourself to leave such cosiness, there’s no shortage of pubs around, from the Black Horse at the end of the lane (a two-minute stroll) to the charming Endeavour Wharf, slightly further down the road (ten minutes away on foot). The latter even allows you to bring along some of Whitby’s famous fish and chips, to enjoy alongside a pint. The home (and Whitby as a whole) also acts as... a gateway to the North York Moors National Park, a wilderness that has inspired many an author, and featured in the Harry Potter films (Hogsmeade station is at Goathland) and Bridgerton.

About Whitby
Famously the setting of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, there’s something hauntingly beautiful about Whitby. The ruins of Whitby Abbey, set atop a windy hill overlooking the town, are just like a scene from a gothic novel. When the sun sets, ghost tours amble through the cobbled streets, revealing the town’s dramatic history. By day it’s all idyllic fishing village vibes, with a hint of Victorian holidays.
