The idyllic countryside setting of this converted barn property takes some beating, but it’s the shared spaces found within the 170-acre country estate taking centre stage here. With an indoor swimming pool, all-weather tennis courts, a games room, and a children’s adventure play area, this is a place to be enjoyed in all weathers. There’s plenty of distractions for kids back at the house, too, with a wooden climbing frame, swing, and football goal out on the shared paddock garden. Inside, the light-filled barn property has been masterly converted, with exposed brick walls, wooden beams, a farmhouse kitchen, and traditional cottage doors. Enjoy cosying up beside the wood-burner on cooler evenings or breakfast alfresco on the terrace in the balmy days of summer. Alternatively, treat yourself to a truly chilled-out stay by organising a chef to deliver freshly cooked meals to your door or book a spa treatment – your host knows the person for the job. And when it’s time for the great outdoors, hop in the car and you’ll be on the golden sands of Holkham and Wells-Next-The-Sea in just fifteen minutes. Or enjoy cycling on the quiet surrounding lanes leading down to the coast with a picnic pitstop - your hosts can organise a hamper to go.

Host

This home is managed by Lynne

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Your hosts moved to North Norfolk from London in 2009, taking on a once redundant dairy farm estate and transforming it into their home and the setting on their beautiful holiday cottages. Creating an unforgettable holiday experience is their number one priority - whether that's suggesting the best beach walks or cycle routes, organising a chef to take over, or sharing tips on local pubs for a hearty roast - nothing is too much trouble.

This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.

  • Great hosts, not just great homes – We reject homes managed by hosts who don’t meet our standards of excellence.
