In winter, you can make the most of backcountry skiing and snowboarding before retiring home to heat up in front of the roaring fire with a hot chocolate. Guests lucky enough to occupy the master bedroom can even treat themselves to a relaxing soak in the jetted tub! About South Lake Tahoe
On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. Southern Lake Tahoe is where the majority of these activities (and the majority of the nightlife) is based. In contrast to the slower north, there's a bustling arts scene, late-night restaurants and plenty of casinos in Nevada.
