Enveloped deep within the dramatic terrain of Valle D'Itria, yet just an easy drive from some of Puglia's best beaches, lies this enchanting hideaway. Partly housed in an ancient Trullo building characteristic of this region, its conical roofs sitting alongside the sharp lines of the achingly-cool contemporary annexes make quite the first impression. Step inside, and the home is expertly restored with a tasteful mix of modern and period features. A home begging for a large group of friends or family to come together, there are open spaces for gathering together for mealtimes and smaller, cosy nooks to retreat within its whitewashed, metre-thick walls. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spread out across the three annexes, meaning guests can enjoy an added level of privacy and space here. But it's outside where we think you'll be spending most of your time together. There's a vast covered veranda for alfresco dining, rooftop lounging areas for stargazing, and a sublime horizon pool at its heart. Padding out onto the terrace surrounded by orchards, olive trees, and vineyards, you could feel a million miles from anywhere here. But in fact, you're just a five-minute drive (or twenty-minute stroll) from the centre of Martina Franca. An ancient walled city with a charming central piazza and shady park, discover traditional trattorias and outdoor cafes amidst its sleepy streets. Or head for the coast to find sandy shores and beach clubs serving delicious seafood. The expansive coastline of Lido Morelli (just half an hour's drive away) is an excellent place to start.

About Puglia

If you’re looking to slow down the pace of life for a few weeks, there are worse places than Puglia. This is Italy at its most Italian, with year-round good weather (though it can get hot in the summer) and an estimated 60 million olive trees. That’s a lot of groves to wander through. Puglia’s also famous for its Trulli houses. The conical stone roofs of these huts are synonymous...
