Let your imagination run wild in this Grade II listed home dating back to the 13th century. Whether you’re planning a family celebration holiday or a once-in-a-decade reunion with old friends, this historic home in Snowdonia is a place where special memories are made. Get in touch with your inner Enid Blyton as you discover secret cupboards and hidden doorways, rope swings in the woods and caves on the beach – just a short walk from your door. Portraits and panelling are everywhere, and upstairs there are bedrooms and beds enough for the Secret Seventeen, with views over the estate to the sea. You'll find two drawing rooms – one where the kids can get their small screen fix – the other where the adults can browse the bookshelves and enjoy a moment's peace and quiet – both benefit from wood-burning stoves to keep things cosy. When mealtimes arrive, take it in turns to sound the gong before you gather the ensemble around a grand dining table that wouldn’t look out of place at a mediaeval banquet. The kitchen can cater for that too, with two range cookers and masses of storage. If you're more into outdoor cooking, there's also a secluded... barbecue area for alfresco dining. It's been known to rain in Wales, but fear not – you have your own indoor heated swimming pool for those cold, rainy days. Rest assured, this lovely country estate is an all-encompassing crowd-pleaser.
