Under the watchful gaze of the Brecon Beacons, this quaint cottage is a peaceful bolthole in the Welsh countryside. Charming and unpretentious, a stay here is an ideal choice for couples who want to spend their days exploring this pocket of South Wales. Lovers of the outdoors will be right at home in two acres of garden, with an orchard for roaming and a barbecue for alfresco dining in the warm summer months. A patchwork of fields can be admired through the French doors in the bright living room, and we recommend that you take advantage of the bedroom's roof window and telescope on clear evenings – the stars are simply breathtaking. If you're craving some adventure, then bring your bike along and hit the trails, or don your walking boots to explore the national park's peaks and valleys. A twelve-minute drive will take you into the market town of Abergavenny, where you can visit the castle, have a drink in one of the pubs and, if you time it right, treat your tastebuds at the annual food festival.
