The Grade II listed home boasts plenty of charm and character, starting with the portico at the front door, the exposed beams on every ceiling, and the picturesque views of the River Esk. Stretching across the water and towards the marina, you’ll be able to see plenty of Whitby’s historic sites, including the 199 steps that lead up to St. Mary’s Church and the breathtaking gothic ruins of Whitby Abbey. Located just a seven-minute walk away from Whitby train station, you’re also within easy walking distance of the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, sandy Whitby beach, and a wide selection of seafood restaurants. For a really special day, take the ten-minute drive to the North York Moors National Park to hike through the glorious landscapes, before returning home to put your feet up in this cosy cottage. However you choose to spend your trip, this home is ready to make you feel well and truly welcome.
