This chocolate-box cottage is set in the stunning grounds of Ingleby Manor, a house dating back to the sixteenth century. Inside this characterful home, your hosts have provided a sense of the main house's history with oak beams, lovely antique furniture and a wonderful open fireplace. It somehow manages to feel simultaneously modern, yet from another time altogether. You're welcome to enjoy fifty acres of woodlands and gardens outside, including a walled garden with croquet and garden games and a children's play area. For keen anglers and those inspired by Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse's exploits, there's a meandering beck where you can fish for brown trout. Guests are welcome to enjoy events and meals in the main manor house, in which the Tudor Kitchen, Great Hall and the Old Ballroom offer fabulous venues for family and friends to gather. The nearby village of Ingleby Greenhow is just half a mile up the road – its friendly pub and Norman church are well worth visiting. The spectacular scenery of the North York Moors National Park makes this place truly special.
