Whitby has been a popular seaside destination since Victorian times, and it's not hard to see why. A two-mile-long stretch of beach, tonnes of amusements, golf (both a historic club and pitch 'n' putt course), go-karts, and the best fish and chips in the UK all make for a fantastic family holiday spot. This characterful home, located in the popular West Cliff area of the town, is a great base to enjoy all Whitby has to offer. It sleeps four in bright, spacious bedrooms bearing nautical touches and a spacious kitchen that can easily handle the bustle of family breakfast time. And the best bit? You're only a five-minute walk from the beach, and you can enjoy incredible views across to the ruined Abbey (said to have inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula) without even leaving home.

When the sun sets, ghost tours amble through the cobbled streets, revealing the town’s dramatic history. By day it’s all idyllic fishing village vibes, with a hint of Victorian holidays.
