Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Whether you're on a solo trip, a friendly reunion, or a romantic break, this home is a great excuse to put down those mobile phones and don your finest pair of walking boots to explore North Yorkshire. The building was once a shepherd's shelter and dates back to 1797, with the original stonework and wooden beams still intact. The relaxed lounge, with its electric fire and squashy coral sofas, is a wonderful place in which to kick back and relive the day's adventures with friends over a nice cuppa. The cottage is deep in the countryside, with two acres of private land to explore and a two-mile walk from the nearest pub. Visit the quaint market towns of Bedale, Leyburn and Masham in less than fifteen minutes by road. For adventures further afield, walkers should head to Yorkshire Dales National Park or further towards the coast, where paths follow seaside cliffs. Closer to home, The Forbidden Corner is a twenty-minute drive and bills itself as 'the strangest place in the world' with its mix of labyrinths and tunnels.
