Stay in a quaint cottage in the heart of Whitby – a town steeped in rich history on the Yorkshire coast. Take a ten-minute drive to the North York Moors National Park for incredible landscapes, dales, wildflowers and wildlife that will make you forget all the fuss and flutter back home. After long nature walks or a day spent lounging on sandy Whitby beach (less than a five-minute stroll away), come home and relax with some drinks and dinner on the patio – fire up the barbecue and grill some freshly-caught mackerel. If you're the more solitary type, grab a book from the shelf and find a cosy corner of your own to while away the hours. The lounge is particularly cosy, with mountains of cushions covering an attractive teal sofa. There's a great children's bedroom to occupy the kids for a while too. Foodies should round off their stay with a visit to Michelin-recommended restaurant The Star Inn The Harbour, just a six-minute walk from home.

About Whitby
Famously the setting of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, there’s something hauntingly beautiful about Whitby. The ruins of Whitby Abbey, set atop a windy hill overlooking the town, are just like a scene from a gothic novel. When the sun sets, ghost tours amble through the cobbled streets, revealing the town’s dramatic history. By day it’s all idyllic fishing village vibes, with a hint of Victorian holidays.
