There's no need for postcards when the views out of the window look better than anything you can find in the local souvenir shop. This converted stone barn is set within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, sandwiched between Rowleth Woods on one side and the River Swale on the other. Inside, you'll find cosy corners, comfy sofas and tranquil bedrooms – all designed to help you relax and unwind. Through the kitchen, there's an enormous range cooker that's sure to please any budding chef, plus elegant stone flooring and a rustic dining table with views to savour. Step out onto the terrace, and you'll soon discover the wooden summer house is the perfect place to unwind with a cool glass of white while the kids play in the garden. If the weather turns, there are plenty of board games and table football to keep everyone entertained. The Lake District and North Pennines are just over an hour's drive away if you fancy exploring further afield. While slightly closer to home, take your tastebuds on a voyage of discovery at the Wensleydale Creamery, just under thirty minutes by car. For cosy pubs, head to nearby Gunnerside, Reeth or Muker for locally... sourced, homemade food, crackling fires and a hearty Yorkshire welcome.
