Set within the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, this cottage is the perfect retreat for couples or small families. Given its location, just off 'The Shawl' in Leyburn, it's only fitting that your home should be a traditional Yorkshire cottage with its Yorkstone exterior, exposed beams, and a wood-burning stove that create a lovely cosy vibe. Upstairs, unwind in a bedroom kitted out with quality Willis & Gambier furniture – sure to provide a great night's sleep. Enjoy easy access to everything this area of outstanding natural beauty has to offer – cycle along steep tracks, stroll through picturesque villages or spend a day in the comforts of your quaint cottage. Your central location also means you can easily walk to the local Wensleydale steam railway station or visit the pubs, tea rooms, and restaurants in this charming market town. We'd recommend heading to the Wensleydale Creamery, around half an hour away, where you can watch the magical cheese-making process (and buy some local produce at the end of the tour). For an evening close to home, enjoy a drink at the Leyburn Bolton Arms pub and fish and chips from Fryer Tuck, both just a two-minute walk away.

About Lancashire

From Blackpool’s swirl of neon lights to the Forest of Bowland’s wind-whipped fells, Lancashire’s sights span the extremes of what Britain has to offer. Follow drystone walls along the Pendle Hill walk; slip through kissing-gates in fields of grazing sheep, over old wooden footbridges, eventually cresting the summit to humbling views across Lancashire and the Yorkshire Dales. Ramble through woodland to emerge at the reservoir edge where the pin-drop silence...
