This brick-red terraced cottage, hidden on a quiet lane near the fishing village of Llangwm, is a dream for those seeking total peace and quiet. The tranquil Cleddau Estuary is just fifty metres from your front door, and if you come with a kayak or boat (or rent one locally), you can be out on the water within minutes. The cottage itself is sprinkled with books and if you’re an avid reader, you may wish to time your stay for August when the village hosts its annual three-day Llangwm Literary Festival. In this home, white walls meet wooden beams and a modern oak kitchen to create a welcoming, rustic ambience in the living area. On those warmer afternoons, the colourful garden will be your best friend, and you'll love strolling along the river in the sunshine. Further afield, sandy beaches beckon on warm days, and there are castles to visit, mountain biking trails to conquer and incredible landscapes to explore – Pembrokeshire National Park is right on your doorstep.

About Haverfordwest

Dominated by its 12th-century castle and the river that runs through it, Haverfordwest is a convenient base for exploring the whole of Pembrokeshire. The ancient market town throws out a network of roads and winding country lanes like an octopus, tickling its neighbours on every corner of the crinkled coastline. From here, you can be on the big sands of Broad Haven beach in 15 minutes, marvelling at the Cathedral...
