This stone cottage in Snowdonia National Park will suit hiking, mountain biking and horse riding enthusiasts alike. Historically, it was known for the woollen and tanning industry. It is now known for having the oldest cricket club in Wales but, more prominently, Cadair Idris’ base camp. If you’re more of a beachgoer, take the great Mawddach trail down to the seaside town of Barmouth – less than a twenty-minute drive from home. You’re also a half-hour drive from the largest lake in Wales – Llyn Tegid. And after an explorative day full of adventure, return to your cosy cottage with heaps of bucolic charm. Stoke up the fire and settle down for a lovely evening under the wooden beamed ceilings.
