Prepare to feel right at home in this traditional stone cottage in West Wales. Whether the kids are burning off their energy in the huge garden, complete with swings, a slide and a trampoline. or the whole family is engaged in competition in the games room, you’ll be constantly entertained. The on-site lake is a lovely spot for fishing, and the outdoor hot tub is the perfect spot to while away the hours looking out over the rolling countryside. Inside, the home is charming and inviting, with red accent walls, exposed stone and an oil-fired log burner. Start your day in the sunshine on the patio set with some of the traditional Welsh delicacies left by your host and cosy up on the leather sofa in the evenings. The famous sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay are just an eighteen-minute drive away – build a sandcastle, go for a paddle or simply watch the waves. Make sure you pack your binoculars – it’s said that there is nowhere better in all of Europe to spot bottlenose dolphins. And for cyclists, there are relaxed routes taking you through quiet country lanes or more technical mountain biking challenges. Children will love the shorter Poet and Potter route, taking you from New Quay to the harbour town of Aberaeron.
