This characterful cottage is located in the charming village of Corris in the southern part of Snowdonia National Park. It's perfect for a large family or a group of friends looking to explore the area’s striking scenery. Nestled into the hills, the garden offers direct access to the rugged slopes through a back gate. The garden is also raised – you can even spot Cadair Idris, a favourite mountain peak for avid hikers, from the comfort of your own picnic table. If you aren’t planning to summit it yourself, you can simply enjoy the scenery with your own homemade barbecue or morning coffee. This unique home is made up of two slate quarryman's cottages and steeped in history, retaining original features such as the slate walls and large hearths. After long scenic walks, you’ll be pleased to find wood-burning stoves in both the living room and dining room to keep you cosy. Unwind under the exposed beams or fix up a meal at the kitchen island. It’s a space that’s both charming and comfortable, with bedrooms that feel just like home and bathrooms that benefit from a modern renovation. You’ll also be just a twenty-minute drive from the market town... of Dolgellau and twelve minutes from Machynlleth, where you'll find a fantastic selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. For a trip to the seaside, Snowdonia's sandy beaches are within a half an hour’s drive away.
