Set on a hilltop surrounded by verdant countryside, this former agricultural outbuilding would be unrecognisable to the farmers who once stored their grain here. Its transformation into a sizeable split-level holiday cottage has been aided by the addition of a double storey glass-fronted hall to the front of the building. Inside, you'll find more oak beams on show than we've ever seen. Looking around, they provide you with an appreciation of all the work that went into the barn when it was first constructed. The open living area really reaps the benefit of natural light entering from every angle, plus there's direct access to the large, landscaped garden through the French doors. Out here, you'll find plenty of facilities to keep both children and adults busy. Head up to the bedrooms, and you'll find cosy yet spacious sleeping quarters – three with en-suite bathrooms. Located in the Suffolk village of Darsham, you'll have easy access to plenty of country walks and inviting pubs - plus lovely beaches on the Suffolk coast at Aldeburgh or Southwold, both around a twenty-minute drive away. In short, everything you could want from a country escape is here, with plenty to enjoy for a large family gathering or getaway with a group of friends.
