Dating back to the 12th century, this former Tithe Barn (where farmers would store their harvested donations for the church) has been reborn as the ultimate play space for a family holiday with its own games room (including ping pong, foosball and pool tables) and playground. Despite being an outhouse conversion, it has a real cosy country cottage vibe thanks to its wooden beams, sloping ceilings, wood burning stove and comfy living room. Located in Wattisham, near Stowmarket, there’s easy access to great walks, wildlife spotting (including otters!) and day trips to Sutton Hoo and the Suffolk coast at Aldeburgh or Southwold. This home comes into its own on summer nights – you can fire up the barbecue and dine al fresco, before relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of wine.

About Hadleigh
This ancient market town is nestled in Constable Country – a beautiful area of Suffolk that inspired the 18th-century artist’s most famous works. Hadleigh itself is packed full of character, with historic buildings and independent shops aplenty. Sandwiched between Sudbury and Ipswich, it may not be as well-known as its more prominent neighbours, but with its mixed architecture and picturesque valley setting, this quieter area still has lots to offer....
