Sitting high above the Weald, Spindle Flower has breathtaking views over the rolling Kent countryside to make you feel entirely at one with the landscape. Take a picnic down to the table in the orchard at lunchtime, and at sunset, relax on the patio with a glass of wine overlooking the sweeping panorama. And on chillier days, there's no better spot for some downtime, than in front of the roaring fireplace. So make yourself a cup of tea and sink into the plush corner couch while you warm your toes by the fire. Bliss. A dream come true for the outdoorsy type, countless scenic walking trails pass right by your doorstep. Meanwhile, you'll be very well-placed to explore the many National Trust homes and gardens of the area – Stoneacre's is the closest site – just a twelve-minute drive away from the house. In addition, Margate and Whitstable are reachable in an hour's drive or less if you feel like exploring the coast – or you could just sit and listen to the birds from the peace of your own garden.
