Set in one of the UK's Areas of Outstanding Beauty, this renovated farmhouse has got big family gatherings written all over it. We love the mix of social rooms, with interconnecting lounge areas providing both space and privacy. With an abundance of seating, carpeted floors, tasteful artwork and a warming stone hearth log-burner, the cosy interiors just sing bucolic charm. Outdoors, the beautiful sprawling garden, patio area and barbecue beckon for alfresco dining long into the balmy summer evenings. Adults can soak in the covered hot tub whatever the weather while the kids take on table tennis tournaments in the games barn. And for those feeling even more adventurous, the owners next door are keen equestrians and can arrange horse riding lessons upon request. When you can bear to tear yourselves away from the home and grounds, this area of North Devon has plenty to discover. Jump in the car and delve deeper into historic Exmoor countryside with a visit to the Tarr Steps, said to date back to the Bronze Age, or follow one of the many hiking trails that traverse the national park. Croyde and Ilfracombe beaches are a twenty-minute drive from home as are Lynton and Lynmouth,... where you will find a unique cliff railway.
