A charming thatched farmhouse surrounded by picturesque gardens – this home is perfect for a country-meets-coast stay. Spend idyllic summer days sitting on the lawn with a picnic of local produce or grill a feast in the covered barbecue area. Inside, there are plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. It was a farmhouse in the sixteenth century but has been updated with all sorts of modern entertainment and home comforts, including a pool table, table tennis, and a piano for budding Mozarts. Wooden beams throughout provide oodles of charm, as does the huge fireplace with the wood burner in the lounge. You can walk to Bacton seafront in five minutes and from there explore beaches stretching for miles up and down the coastline. For a traditional seaside day out, head to Cromer, thirty minutes away by car, or you can play golf in Mundesley (eight minutes away). Alternatively, why not visit the Happisburgh Lighthouse, a ten-minute ride, or even check out the local seal colony at Horsey Beach, which is just under a half an hour's drive. After a busy day, you can pop into the village for a bite to eat at the dog-friendly pub too.
