For those who prefer to travel by foot, there is a wonderful boarded walkway along the river that takes you all the way to Aldeburgh. The fish and chips there are world-class. Aldeburgh has some great spots for dinner if you plan to stay all day – L'Escargot Sur Mer is a must-visit – then return in the evening for a glass of wine by the fire.
