Nothing makes a house feel more like a holiday home than a sea view. At this lovely family townhouse just off Southwold’s famous beach, you’ll only need to look out the window to see if the tide is in or how crowded the beach is that day. Then it’s just a minute from the front door and you can be sunbathing, eating ice cream and enjoying all that the Suffolk seaside has to offer. The house itself is beautiful – tastefully decorated in neutral tones with original features plus modern additions including the superb gas range cooker, two handy fridge/freezers and a wood burning stove that make it cosy and comfortable whatever time of the year you come. A mix of single and larger beds mean this is a great place for either a family or friends’ reunion where everyone can sleep peacefully to the sound of the waves lapping outside. For fun days out be sure to visit the small local market held at Market Place on Mondays and Thursdays, discover the local fish and chip shops, boutiques and pubs on the high street and hop on the foot ferry at the harbour to visit the unspoilt dunes at Walberswick.

About Southwold

Visiting Southwold as a child is an experience you’ll never forget, and you’re unlikely to as an adult either. The pier, with its traditional pavilion, might look like any other late-Victorian pier from the outside, but it’s a must-visit in this seaside town. What makes Southwold Pier different is its arcade of humorous, quirky, coin-operated machines. Created by the inventor Tim Hunkin, they feature a range of eccentric – and...
