This characterful townhouse in the centre of Fowey is a lovely mishmash of exposed masonry, quirky wallpaper and coastal charm. But that's not the only reason we adore it – one look at the far-reaching views and you'll fall in love with it, too. Set over four levels, it's a bit of climb up to the fourth-floor lounge but trust us – it's worth every step. From up here, you've got a bird's eye view of the estuary, pretty Cornish coastline and the sparkling ocean, and the best spot to take it all in is the sunny roof terrace. Pour yourself a glass of wine (or a glass of juice for the little ones) and relish in the unforgettable sunsets, watching as the tide ebbs and flows. Then, when you've had your fill of the scenery (if that's even possible), make your way downstairs to the country-style kitchen for a family dinner before snuggling up in the sumptuous beds. With its quaint boutiques and local eateries hiding all sorts of hidden treasures, there's plenty in Fowey to explore. Miles of idyllic coastline and countryside are ideal for walks, while harbourside cafes are the perfect spots to relax with a coffee before hiring a boat and setting off on an afternoon on the river. And, with an excellent pub next door, you won't even need to worry about cooking – sounds like heaven to us.
