Although the seaside town of Aldeburgh has been drawing in visitors for centuries, contemporary homes such as this give people even more reason to flock to this corner of the Suffolk coastline. One of the things we like most about the address is the use of floor-to-ceiling windows, which are especially generous when it comes to natural light. It also means that the dining table at the back of the home is treated to a pleasant view of the foliage-filled garden. Elsewhere, the design is relatively pared-back, as seen with the white walls, wooden furnishings and the odd piece of artwork. As it's a coastal location, it feels important to note that the town's beach can be reached in around three minutes' walk and the locale is also celebrated for its Georgian architecture and fish and chip shops. The surrounding Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB offers plenty of walking or cycling routes as another way to fill up your itinerary.

About Aldeburgh

When the sun sets on Aldeburgh, the pastel-coloured houses that line the shore seem to glow and the pebbled beach takes on a rainbow hue. Here, the buildings come right up to the beach, so you just need to hop over the coastal wall to reach the sea. The seaside town was once home to Benjamin Britten, and it still retains its creative pull, with the Aldeburgh Festival of Music...
