Gorgeous beaches, the iconic Southwold Pier, and Instagram-worthy beach huts are all just a two-minute walk from this seaside bungalow. When you're not sunbathing on the golden sands, the house is a short stroll from independent shops, a brewery, and plenty of fish and chips. Walkers can explore the myriad of routes in the region, starting from the front door and leading through birdlife-rich marshland, along the coast, or to one of the neighbouring small villages. In the summer, a ferry runs to Walberswick, where kids can join in with crabbing, while golfers should try a round at the nearby club, a four-minute drive away. For nights in, there's a modern, newly refurbished kitchen for cooking up a seafood feast, which can then be enjoyed on the patio at sunset or in the separate dining room. On sunny days, if you don't fancy going to the beach, bask in the sun on the lawn in the lovely sheltered garden. This home is perfect for a family or group of friends wanting to be a stone's throw from the sea.

The pier, with its traditional pavilion, might look like any other late-Victorian pier from the outside, but it’s a must-visit in this seaside town. What makes Southwold Pier different is its arcade of humorous, quirky, coin-operated machines. Created by the inventor Tim Hunkin, they feature a range of eccentric – and...
