Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

This Cotswolds stay feels more like borrowing a posh friend's summer house than your standard holiday rental. There are touches of pure class throughout, from the Fortnum and Mason hamper casually used for living room storage to the freestanding roll-top bath in one of the upstairs bathrooms. The wood burner in the living room helps keep things cosy, while there's a separate snug depending on whether you want to hang out as a larger group or for more intimate moments. Original features – Cotswold stone walls, wooden beams and period fireplaces, some of which date back to the 18th century – add to the impression of rustic grandeur. The garden deserves special mention for its fragrant selection of plants and gorgeous landscaping and views out to the fields beyond. Less than ten minutes by car from Burford, known as the 'gateway to the Cotswolds', this rose-covered, four-bedroom home is within easy reach of a host of its charming local shops, nearby National Trust gardens and plenty of fantastic cycling and running routes. It's also an excellent base for day trips to the likes of Oxford, Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon – all of which are around forty-five minutes away.
