Venice is renowned for its free spirit, canals inspired by its namesake and beautiful beaches – and this industrial aesthetic home, less than five minutes from Venice Beach, is an achingly cool stay from which to explore. Inside, our favourite space was the kitchen-diner. We loved the juxtaposition of rustic and contemporary – it’s all concrete, steel and brick with modern appliances and an enormous mirror to create space and depth. When you’re not chilling out on the huge corner sofa, sipping margaritas by the fire pit or catching some sun on the roof deck, you’ll be rejuvenating in your private sauna. Slip on your flip-flops and follow the shoreline north to Santa Monica Pier or south to the famous Muscle Beach. And when you start to get peckish, the swanky waterfront restaurants of Marina del Rey are a ten-minute drive away.
