Located on a quiet street just below West Cliff – just a short stroll from the harbourside – this charming cottage is full of characterful period details that create a warm and memorable stay. From its timber floors to its original ornamental fireplaces, there’s a feeling of history here mixed with modern comforts that will make you feel right at home. The living room’s plump sofas are ready to ease you into a morning over coffee and a good book, while the cosy kitchen is all set to dish up celebratory fish dinners when you’re not out sampling Whitby’s countless seafood restaurants. The two bedrooms are elegant and offer a peaceful night’s sleep and each has a vanity desk should you need to catch up on work or write postcards to your friends back home. Our favourite feature of the home, however, is the private rooftop terrace. Accessed via the main bedroom, this is where you’ll want to enjoy sunny breakfasts as you people-watch from above and sip a glass of wine or two come evening while the sun sets over the sea in the distance. Outside of your home, you’re just a five-minute walk from Whitby Beach, a fourteen-minute stroll... from historic Whitby Abbey, while the Whitby Whale Watching dock is seven minutes away on foot.

About Whitby
Famously the setting of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, there’s something hauntingly beautiful about Whitby. The ruins of Whitby Abbey, set atop a windy hill overlooking the town, are just like a scene from a gothic novel. When the sun sets, ghost tours amble through the cobbled streets, revealing the town’s dramatic history. By day it’s all idyllic fishing village vibes, with a hint of Victorian holidays.
