With timber-framed cottages by a gentle stream, it's no secret that Kersey is one of the prettiest villages in Suffolk. And this Grade II listed home fits right in. Found in the heart of the hamlet, and benefits from having a fantastic pub and plenty of beautiful walks on its doorstep. Its wide, Tudor-style windows fill the rooms with light, while exposed timber beams and a wood-burner keep that cosy cottage feel. With a Belfast sink and wooden countertops, the kitchen has a rustic farmhouse air, but don’t worry, the range-style cooker is electric and there’s everything you’d expect for 21st-century cooking. There’s plenty of outdoor space; a lawn and cottage garden out the back and outdoor dining at the front. Beyond Kersey, you’ll find Constable Country, and exploring the water meadows around the artist's former home at Flatford Mill is a real treat. Or, rent a bike and explore the landscape that inspired the painter on two wheels – the lanes around Kersey are particularly suited to a leisurely pedal.
