If you're planning a family getaway in Devon, look no further than this sprawling home. Tucked away at the edge of an expansive farm estate, this place is made up of a self-contained cottage and barn conversion – both lovingly restored and furnished with a contemporary flourish. Gather your ensemble for a feast in the grand midnight blue dining area. The two living and dining rooms are bright and light, each with a wood burner and plenty of logs to keep things cosy. Each bedroom has been individually styled with a blend of navy and sage green walls, and you'll find modern up-cycled furniture throughout to make you feel like you’re in a boutique hotel. If you fancy a tipple, there's a well-stocked honesty bar. Outside, you'll find three acres of private land made up of rolling green hills, flower-filled meadows and tree-studded, landscaped gardens. It's utterly idyllic and you’ll struggle to tear yourself away – but if you can muster up the energy, the bustling market town of Honiton is around six miles away, and Branscombe Beach is a thirty-minute drive from home. And, for even bigger groups, an additional cottage can be arranged upon request for a fee.

While there's no air conditioning, the host provides portable fans for the bedrooms.

About East Devon

The East Devon AONB has a rugged beauty all of its own, with canary-yellow gorse trees peppering its hills and rolling green fields punctuated only by the occasional country house. And then, of course, along the southern edge lies the sea, which crashes against the coast for miles, creating curving, white-sand bays beneath towering green cliffs. Take the coastal path the entire length of the shore, and you’ll come across...
