Right from the off, it’s clear this home is something special. The outside is all clean lines of concrete and glass. It's the type of architectural structure you might find in a specialist magazine. Then there’s the setting, several paces from the sea and in prime position for exploring Montauk and the Hamptons beyond. Inside, the design does well to blend ‘shiny modern’ (gloss white chef’s kitchen; white walls; wide, modern electric fireplace) with a more homely vibe (think heavy fluffy rugs; wood floors; big comfy sofas). There are pleasing pops of colour in the form of seaside-themed prints all around the home. For full relaxation we recommend sinking into a terrace lounger with a glass of something cold, and taking in the epic sea view. Outside, stroll to the excellent Ditch Plains beach. It’s a good surfing spot so bring boards if you have them. For dining out, Montauk and its excellent dining scene are on your doorstep. All in all, if you're heading to the Hamptons, this home is a must.
