Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

If you want to feel like you've travelled back in time, only without losing the comfort of the 21st century, this home will make the perfect Lake Tahoe escape. Nostalgic, quirky and spacious, it was once home to the reporters of the 1960's Olympics – check out the master bedroom for some memorabilia. There are fantastic features throughout, with some of our favourites being the vintage beams that once framed the rail tunnels on Donner Summit, the living-room rockery and the abundance of eclectic artwork. With so many cosy features, eye-catching design details and the feeling of seclusion among towering pine trees, you might find it hard to tear yourself away, but when you do, you'll find yourself a stone's throw away from the ski lifts and the Olympic Valley, with Lake Tahoe just a short drive further.

About North Tahoe

On the border of California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe is one of the largest bodies of water in the US. As you'd expect, it's an area of astounding beauty, but the lake has also made a name for itself as a centre for both winter sports and water sports, as well as hiking and cycling. The north shore is a bit quieter and more relaxed than the south. While there's still plenty to do (including the annual food and wine festival), you're unlikely to see crowds like you do in other parts of the region.
