This sophisticated, rust-coloured farmhouse serves up a great big slice of Tuscan dolce vita, sandwiched between verdant vineyards and olive groves. Hidden in the hills around Lucca, with views towards the old town, this rustic-style home is country chic at its most elegant. The terracotta floors and beautifully restored antique furniture are complemented by neroli-white interiors and the occasional Renaissance-umber accent. Equally impressive is the covered outdoor dining room. Stock up on supplies and make time for dough-throwing with friends or family – a glass or two of Chianti and you’ll be an expert. This home is well-placed for exploring the surrounding countryside and it’s a mere ten-minute drive to the historic town of Lucca. When you’ve had enough sightseeing, cool off under the Tuscan sun in the curved pool with glorious views of the luscious countryside.
