Blending traditional cottage charm with big, bold design features, this Italian villa is the stuff of our design dreams. Set in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, the former farmhouse has been brought into the 21st century, with double-height windows, a white panelled gourmet kitchen and contemporary light fixtures. There's still plenty of old-school charm; we love the mix of exposed brick, wooden beams and old fireplaces in the living area. Bedrooms each have their own theme, from the jet black double to the pastel-striped master suite – though given this home's quiet location, you're going to get a good night's sleep wherever you lay your head. Our favourite part? The home's patio with its dining set and wicker sofas, with enough room for the whole group to gather round and watch the sunset.
