Between the maritime pines and golden beaches of Les Landes, this modern one-storey home is the perfect pad for a small group of friends or a family of four. Wide glass doors slide open to fill the stylish living space with pine-scented air, and a smart matte-black kitchen is fully equipped to make self-catering a breeze. Days are spent surfing the Atlantic rollers and strolling along the golden sands of la Côte d’Argent, the longest stretch of sand in Europe. Head home to catch the early evening sun on the wraparound terrace, and light up the barbecue with fresh local produce from the market halls in town. For a change of scene, the bars, bistros and boutiques of Bordeaux are just over an hour’s drive away, or head south to explore the stunning Basque Country.
