Location, location, location! This apartment is a perfect base for exploring the very best of the Eternal City. Your Roman retreat is right in the heart of the historical centre, on a beautiful cobbled street no more than a fifteen-minute amble away from Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Navona, and charming Trastevere. Perhaps most importantly, you're just off Via Giulia – a roughly half-mile-long cobbled street that's lined from end to end with beautiful churches, elegant palazzi, maze-like antique shops, and some of the fanciest homes in Rome. It's also well-equipped with eateries – I Sofà Bar Restaurant & Roof Terrace is set to impress with great views and even better food or you can rub shoulders with Rome's great and good at specialist seafood establishment Assunta Madre. If the idea of a quiet night in appeals, the high-end appliances in the kitchen have got you covered, while the home cinema in the double room is ideal for watching legendary Fellini films from the comfort of your bed.

Home truths

The staircase up to the mezzanine level bedroom is open on one side and so might be a bit precarious for young children.

Bedroom 2 is on a mezzanine that is not sealed off from the living space below, which will be a privacy issue for some.

There is a lift in the building, but there's limited access, and it doesn't go right to the entrance of the home.

The ceiling in some areas is on the low side. It might not be suitable for taller guests.

One bedroom here doesn't have curtains. If you're hoping to enjoy a lie-in, you might want to pack an eye mask.

Your host provides an initial supply of toiletries, but you might want to bring your own to top this up.

The home does not have a home manual.

About Campo de' Fiori

The pleasures to be found in the Campo de' Fiori - the name translates as Field of Flowers - are multiple in their simplicity. The square is watched over by the brooding figure of Giordano Bruno, who was executed for heresy on this spot in 1600. Today he oversees a bustling market selling fruit, vegetables, cheese, Puglian pottery, pasta of varying quality and, of course, flowers, mostly to tourists, although...
