Brick Lane, Spitalfields Market, Shoreditch High Street – you can stroll to any of these trendy southeast London hotspots in just minutes from this unique period home. Stylish and quirky, it suits this artsy neighbourhood down to the ground. The main home, tucked away in a side street off Brick Lane, is a Georgian townhouse with plenty of character. An open-plan living room with on-trend white walls and wood floors is furnished with mid-century modern flair, while the kitchen features an AGA and a door out to the pretty courtyard garden. Bedrooms are big and bright, with a balcony offering views across the rooftops to the city skyscrapers. Across the garden is a useful annexe where a spiral staircase leads up to a bedroom with its own shower room and access to an intimate roof terrace. All this and it's just a short walk from the area's famous art galleries, restaurants and pubs.
