This red-brick barn conversion, surrounded by meadows is the epitome of country escapism. Gazing out onto endless fields and trees, with not a car or main road in sight, you can feel at peace, with just the chatter of birdsong to fill the day. The focus of this home is undoubtedly the brick and pebble-clad terrace, walled with windows framing the view and roses climbing up the sides. A round table sits in the centre of these castle-like ruins with a prime view to feast upon. Around another corner, shared tennis courts await a family rally. Straight out of a watercolour, this barn is as rustic on the outside as it is modern and bright on the inside. Equally stunning and retaining the original beams, the décor is a nod to the home’s original existence with a flagstone floor underfoot and wooden latch doors. If fun in the fields is enough for one day, Norwich is an easy drive away and the sands of the Norfolk coastline too. We can practically hear the birds chirping and smell the barbecue smoking already.
