Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

In the historic East London neighbourhood of Aldgate, nineteenth-century Victorian intrigue meets hip twenty-first-century vibes. With the whole area known as a hub of up-and-coming tech companies as well as arty independent shops and restaurants, it's the perfect place to see London’s past meet its future. Located within an uber-modern high-rise apartment building, stylish design is front and centre here, with most of the furniture from New York-based designers Grzywinski + Pons. As well as a bright living space, there’s also a comfortable sleeping area, a kitchen with Smeg appliances and a bathroom with a deluxe shower and Kinsey Apothecary toiletries. Where the address really shines, however, is with the communal facilities. In the building, you can enjoy the use of the on-site gym and enjoy a drink while taking in the view at the resident’s cocktail bar and restaurant. Events and classes, such as book clubs and terrarium sessions, are regularly held for those staying in the building to build up a sense of community. However, if you're only here for a short time, the City of London is only fifteen minutes' walk away, while the nightlife of Brick Lane and Spitalfields takes about ten.

Local guide

About Wapping

Undoubtedly one of London's most atmospheric riverside areas, packed with maritime history and still retaining a real Dickensian feel to many parts of it on account of its many cobbled streets. The old wharfs and spice and tea warehouses that the area is filled with have almost all now been snapped up and converted by hip media types, wanting to live the NY-style loft dream. The area is also well-known for its many historic riverside pubs, gloriously cosy in wintertime and good for sun soaking come summertime.
