Maroon yourselves at this Anglesey Island cottage retreat, neatly tucked away within an idyllic lakeside setting and yet just a four-minute drive from the charming chocolate-box village of Llanerchymedd (a four-minute drive) with its traditional pubs. Set within a country estate once belonging to a farm, this unique destination peacefully beckons many a guest looking to embrace the unspoiled beauty of Anglesey. Pack up your bucket and spades for beach days – starting at Traeth Lligwy (a nineteen-minute drive). Or nip across the island to Beaumaris (half-an-hour drive) - its castle, shops, cafes, and restaurants is an afternoon well spent. When it's finally time to rest up back at the cottage, this place brings all the Welsh charm. High vaulted ceilings, wooden floors, and a lovely wood-burning stove make quite the first impression, as does the sociable shaker-style kitchen area with everything you could need to rustle up a bite to eat. When the sun shines, gather outside for a barbecue on the patio – it's a lovely spot to take in those views of the nearby lake. Then take an early evening stroll following the grassy pathways down to the lake's peaceful communal cabin and jetty for a game of skimming stones. We don't know about you, but it all sounds pretty idyllic to us.

About Conwy

The town of Conwy is as pretty as a postcard. Perched on the mouth of the River Conwy and with boats bobbing in the estuary, there’s a seaside vibe to these narrow streets. On the other side of town, Morfa Beach boasts a long stretch of soft sand for sunny days and blustery winter walks. The town is home to attractions great and small (literally – you’ll find Britain’s smallest...
