Modern and chic, this home in the north-west of Crete offers a fabulous escape for groups of up to six. Recently built on the hillside below the village of Megala Chorafia, it's the perfect place to press pause and indulge in some serious relaxation. The large windows in the living room mean that you can savour the scenery while you sip your morning tea – and you’ll be eager to spend the rest of the day outside in the fresh air. With a terrace overlooking Souda Bay, you have a front-row view of the water – when the sun comes out, keep cool with regular dips in the infinity pool. Dry off while you read a book and gaze out to sea, and we’re willing to bet that nothing is more peaceful than an afternoon nap on a sun lounger. Meals under the pergola and sunset cocktails are just the icing on the cake. Kalami Beach, with its sandy shoreline, is a pretty spot less than ten minutes away by car where you can paddle and catch some rays. Megala Chorafia is just a ten-minute walk away, where you can stock up on supplies at the mini-market or dine at one... of the three tavernas. And, if you fancy a day trip, you can drive to the ancient port city of Chania in just twenty minutes to explore the Venetian Harbour and winding streets.
