Surrounded by a canopy of palm, olive, and cypress trees, this dreamy coastal hideaway perched just a five-minute stroll from the white sands, and authentic tavernas of the pretty fishing village of Katelios is all about rest and relaxation. Guests love how spacious this home is, both inside and out, and how immaculately cared for everywhere feels. Dazzling white walls, cool, tiled floors, and large patio doors make the living room feel fresh and breezy, while the bedrooms (two of which have jaw-dropping sea-and-mountain-view balconies) are bright and full of rustic charm. Outside, a terraced garden offers plenty of sunny and shaded corners to relax in with a good book or a cocktail and a swimming pool framed by banana palms, and a riot of colourful flowers. Stroll over to Katelios Beach for an afternoon of sea and sand – there are two sheltered bays to choose from. Or take a boat trip to Skala and Poros to explore more Greek-island beauty. The authentic beachside tavernas should do very nicely when thoughts turn to food, or swing by the local bakery and supermarket (both just down the road), to pick up supplies and head back home to fire up the... barbecue for an alfresco dinner. Then all that’s left to do is enjoy a restorative session in the spa hut right next to the villa or treat yourself to a starlit soak in the jacuzzi while relishing the peaceful stillness of your surroundings. We don’t know about you, but it sounds like heaven to us.
