This charming stone villa is suspended high up in the hills, in the heart of Umbria. A short distance from the medieval castle of Monte Castello di Vibio, you are granted with a stay in your very own castle, overlooking the vast Tiber valley and sights of Todi in the foreground. Inside, a grand, open-plan living room and kitchen centres this home, with bedrooms on both high and low levels all boasting wonderful window views. The real breathtaking moment, however, comes when you step outside. With sweeping views of the Italian countryside as far as the eye can see, you can choose to take in the vista from either the balcony or the terrace. Down below lies a curved swimming pool and surrounding loungers to soak up that sunshine, as well as the rest of the garden grounds. From olive, plum, apple, almond, fig, apricot, and fig trees, to herbs and floral plants, you have access to your very own Eden. Nearby lie Lake Trasimeno and Bolsena, and the Marmore waterfalls for some more natural wonder. Perhaps one of the most charming attractions is that of Teatro della Concordia, the world’s smallest nineteenth century theatre and certainly an appropriate visit,... given the theatrical setting you find yourself waking up to each morning.
