Bermondsey is a historic part of London on the shores of the River Thames – but this home is anything but traditional. Windows surround the open-plan living space, offering views over leafy Southwark Park. The furnishings are sleek and stylish, our favourites being the glass dining table and leather armchair – we can just imagine sitting here with a book. However, the best part of this house might be the private balcony. Enjoy a morning coffee here, admiring the views over the surrounding trees, and feel like you're a world away from the busy city streets. While you might be tempted by the endless array of restaurants in the city, on those nights when you fancy a home-cooked meal the kitchen has everything you'll need to rustle something up. Don't forget to explore the local area while you're here too – Maltby Street Market is a must-visit for delicious food, and there are plenty of riverside pubs where you can enjoy a drink as the sun sets.

About Canada Water
It’s hard to believe that just one tube stop away from bustling Canary Wharf, there’s a peaceful neighbourhood known for its ecological richness and London’s largest freshwater lake. This green, serene area is Canada Water, named after the former Canada Dock once used by ships coming in from North America. It was heavily bombed in WWII and subsequently redeveloped in the 1980s. Having undergone a more recent regeneration too, the...

Enjoy the London park life at Southwark Park
Cross the river and enjoy this great example of one of London's famous open spaces. Enjoy tennis courts, football pitches, a sports centre, café, art gallery, children's play room and a beautiful bandstand.
Enjoy the History and Atmosphere at The Mayflower Pub
A Thames-side pub with a small bar and an upstairs restaurant, offering delicious food options including fish & chips and vegan dishes. The pub has a deck overlooking the river for a perfect summer experience, while inside you can admire historical items related to the Mayflower ship.
Tunnel through time at the Brunel Museum
Walk the short distance to the river Thames and visit one of London's most unique museums: The old engine house for the steam pumps used in the construction of the Thames tunnel.
Try some real ale at The Gregorian
While this mock-Tudor pub is not the most show-stopping pub we've ever visited, there's friendly service and 8 hand pumps so real ale is very much the order of the day.
