Fresh as a daisy, this cantaloupe-coloured villa surrounded by meadows is a restorative treat. The all-white interiors create calm from the minute you arrive, and you can really tell the host has chosen the furnishings thoughtfully. The fairy light jars and floral accents are endearing touches, but you won’t be able to resist a whirlwind romance with the private garden. In juxtaposition with the interior, outside is an oasis of nature and colour impossible not to fall in love with. You can spend all day out here and never get bored. We earmarked the hammock for afternoon siestas straight away and loved the fact we could enjoy our homemade lunch in the shade of the arbour. A post-lunch hot tub dip will become a daily ritual, before rinsing off in the outdoor shower and heading on foot into Villafranca de Bonany (a ten-minute walk) for an evening tapas meal.
