When you hear of Florida's Key West, your imagination conjures up images of palm trees, poolside cocktails, beaches and barbecues. This is indeed the reality you'll find at this tropical home. Set in the Gallery District on iconic Duval Street, this house is truly a piece of art – as you arrive on the porch, the white and pale blue slatted wood exterior shows quintessential Floridan architecture with a clean, modern twist. Palm trees adorn the front garden, creating shady spots where you can take respite from the blazing sun. In the rear terrace area, the heated saltwater pool brings a touch of the Atlantic ocean to your immediate surroundings. Inside, you’ll find richly coloured features and furnishings made from the state’s native Dade County pine, a traditional wood of the region. Among simple furniture and relaxing neutral tones, bursts of colour and quirky beach-inspired artworks in every room will make you smile. The local area is teeming with nightlife, restaurants and shops. Stroll along the buzzing street, or head up to the first floor to mix up a Piña Colada from the comfort of your balcony as you watch the revellers come out to play.
