A dip in the ocean or a few lengths of your private pool before breakfast? That’s about as tough as decisions get when you stay in this luxurious yet laid-back beach house on Florida’s Emerald Coast. Embrace carefree coastal living as you drift from one sun-kissed spot to the next — did we mention the swoon-worthy balconies? Inside, marble surfaces and hotel-esque bathrooms lend a distinctly decadent flavour, but with clapboard cladding, a traditional porch and fun retro touches (we love the vintage-style record player) this is a home that refuses to take itself too seriously. There’s oodles of space for extended family groups, and kids will love the adventure of waking up in quadruple bunk beds. Spend lazy mornings by the poolside or indulge in a spot of shuffleboard while lunch sizzles on the barbecue. Then, all that's left to do is head to the sugar-white sands and emerald-hued waters that the city of Destin is famed for. Bliss.
