Nestled among the snow-dusted trees at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, this delightful Breckenridge home makes an impression on you the moment you walk through the door. Dramatic beams, exposed brickwork and honey-coloured wood emphasise the beauty of natural materials without unnecessary adornments. It’s cosy, yes, but never kitsch. Make the most of this picture-perfect setting for a family ski holiday with hearty breakfasts around the long dining table, après ski drinks in the sunroom and – best of all – an evening’s entertainment centred around the grill and hot tub out on the deck. There’s a retro foosball table to kick start a vacation tournament and plenty of space around the house for younger guests to play games. But the thing we love the most is the beautiful treehouse, complete with rope bridge and slide. With some blankets and a torch, it’s a magical setting for mountainside storytelling.
